Today we have the honor of introducing Alicia Johnson, our Director of New Members. Alicia Johnson is an employee specialist with Express Employment Professionals and the friendly face behind our Member 101 Zoom Calls. We are so grateful for her leadership within Heels & Handshakes.

How did you enter into the hospitality industry?
I was living in Arizona and was hired on at the front desk at the Hotel Indigo Old Town Scottsdale. After 90 days, I knew I wanted to be in the Sales department. I spoke to my GM about moving to Sales and he created a position for me and opened up the door to a world I have called home for the last 10 years. When COVID-19 hit, I sadly had to say goodbye to my role at Hutton Hotel. After 9 month of searching for my next step, I have found a very fulfilling role in Staffing and Recruiting!
What brought you to Nashville?
I lived in Nashville briefly after college and I knew I wanted to make my way back after a few years in Arizona. I was given the opportunity to join the team at Union Station Hotel and that led me back to Nashville. Best decision I have ever made.
Where are we likely to find you on the weekends or when you aren't working?
With my friends.... probably brunching (pre-covid)
Name 3 things you cannot live without
My Friends/Family, My fur baby Oliver and Wine/Bravo TV... sorry, I know that is more than 3 lol
