To Travel Or Not To Travel, that is the question.
Is anyone else dreaming of the beach or their next vacation? I tried to convince Emily Fengler to sneak me in her luggage so I can go with her on all her fabulous trips. Today, I had the honor of sitting down with new member Emily Fengler Founder of Tailor My Travels and getting to know little bit more about her and story.
How did you enter into the Hospitality industry?
Who doesn't love traveling the world? I was a teacher for 8 years and then a stay at home mom for about 9 years. I was ready to start a new chapter and started working as a travel agent 2 years ago. Vacations are for making memories - I love helping clients plan every detail and making it special for them.
What Brought you to Nashville? We moved to Nashville in 2008 for my husband's job. I never dreamed we'd live in Nashville. We were living in Virginia at the time and were hooked the moment we visited the area in 2007. Having lived here for this long now we feel like natives but our kids are the only true Tennesseeans in our family. Favorite hidden gem for this New York girl... Joeys House of Pizza.
Where are we likely to find you on the weekends or when you aren't working?
You can usually find me spending time with my family and friends, traveling, researching our next vacation or working out.
Name 3 things you cannot live without?
Other than family and friends...1. my dog, Otto2. NY style pizza and bagels3. Starbucks Passion Tango Tea
What is the best advice you have received?
Gratitude can get you through anything. It's important to trade expectations for appreciation. When you're working in life from gratitude - anything is possible.
What are you currently listening to? Podcast? Favorite song that motivates you?
The last couple of books I've listened to on Audible are Stacey Abrams' book "Lead From the Outside" and Glennon Doyle's book "Untamed." My favorite song to get motivated with is Rise Up by Andra Day.
