Heels got weird in ATX

Heels made their second stop of the Heels on Fire Tour in Austin, Texas.

We knew Austin had to be on the map for our Tour, Heels on Fire. We had the privilege of hosting this event at the beautiful, Thompson Hotel in their Red River Ballroom.

Our Moderator Haley Slade of Slade Copy House kicked off the event. She was the perfect moderator to lead this dialogue with our panel. We chose the theme, “Heels on Fire",” because as women we are always putting out fires. Fires in the workplace, fires with our clients, fires at our home, but what are we doing to intentionally make sure our own flame is burning bright. Who are we surrounding ourselves with? What are we doing to put out these fires?

Lattice Hudson a 7 Figure Coach and Lifestyle Creator
Liz Song, Corporate Communications, Equity @ Bumble.

There were so many “aha moments” or “I feel seen” as the panelist answered their questions.

Some of my favorite takeaways include their non-negotiables:

Lead with empathy
Take full radical responsbility
Start every day with gratitude

And last but not least surround yourself with a support system that you can be vulnerable with.

We loved our activations for this meeting. We brought in Kendra Scott for their color bar and portion of their proceeds will go towards local non-profit, Latinitas. We also brought in Fairy Hair for an opportunity to add a little pizazz to our attendees’ hair. Last but not least, we had the privilege of bringing in the Original Butt Sketch from Dallas to our event. Yes, you read that correctly, Butt Sketch. This was empowering for our attendees to participate in the live sketch. Each attendee was instructed to strike their favorite power pose and our artist was able to capture it within 2 minutes.

I cannot recommend the Thompson Hotel enough. If you are looking for private event space for your company or Holiday Party, I highly recommend working with their team. Ashley and Paula made everything seamless for our group.
