Hear from our speakers who share experiences of empowerment, connection, and inspiration as we collectively pave the way for a more inclusive and equitable future.

Johari Matthews serves as the Vice President and Executive Director of Tennessee Titans Foundation and Community Impact with the Tennessee Titans. In this role, she serves as the primary liaison for community and nonprofit organizations to better align initiatives established by the NFL on a local level to further bridge the League's community initiatives platform. Entering into her third season, her role also includes seeking opportunities to cultivate the Tennessee Titans’ commitment to service through player and staff engagement in the community, executing corporate social responsibility strategy, and overseeing the Club’s philanthropic endeavors across Middle Tennessee. Since joining the organization in 2022, Johari has worked to restructure the Club’s community involvement by establishing a forward-facing multifaceted philanthropic platform known as ONE Community to meet the needs of Middle TN’s most underserved and marginalized communities by raising awareness, addressing barriers, and implementing intentional programs and partnerships in the areas of opportunity, neighborhoods, and education. Prior to joining the Titans, Johari spent 18 years with the YMCA of Middle Tennessee in a number of transformative leadership roles, with the most recent being Executive Director of the Northwest Family YMCA. During her tenure, she was widely recognized for her collaborative work with The BlueCross BlueShield Foundation as they opened the first of its kind $6.5M state of the art, inclusive BlueCross BlueShield Healthy Place Park on its ground.

Adriana Gascoigne: Adriana Gascoigne is the founder and CEO of Girls in Tech (GIT), a Nashville-based non-profit organization devoted to empowering, educating and engaging women in the tech industry. She is also the author of Tech Boss Lady: How To Start-Up, Disrupt, And Thrive As A Female Founder, and a board member of WAPPP, Harvard Kennedy School's Women in Public Policy Program. More than a decade ago, Adriana faced discrimination and harassment as the lone female executive in a Silicon Valley startup. From that experience, she was inspired to help other women and thus founded GIT, which today advocates for diversity and inclusion in STEM fields. GIT boasts 35 chapters throughout the world. It comprises an active, engaged community of more than 130,000 members. Hundreds of events and programs are held throughout the year and are tailored to address the unique needs of local chapters. Through her leadership at GIT, Adriana has improved diversity in the tech workforce; encouraged policy change at government, corporate and community levels; inspired women to pursue any career they wish; and, created impact-oriented courses to support women throughout their careers. Adriana’s accolades include: Receiving a Singularity University Impact Fellow Scholarship Receiving a Mosaic Fellow Scholarship Being named one of the 20 most influential Latinos in technology in 2018 by CNET Winning the 2018 Pioneer Leadership Award at the Silicon Valley Latino Leadership Summit.

Shannon Myers is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Tennessee Titans. She originally joined the franchise as Vice President of Finance in 2021.

Myers oversees the financial operations and information technology needs for the Tennessee Titans, Nissan Stadium and the Tennessee Titans Foundation. Her primary responsibilities include management of all corporate accounting and financial reporting, as well as establishing budgets, forecasting and managing cash flow. In addition, she oversees the club’s people and culture team which focuses on employee engagement, employee development and benefits and compensation administration, while ensuring the club prioritizes diversity, equity and inclusion. Myers is also the executive sponsor for the Titans Professional Women’s Network and the Sustainability Committee.

Dawn N. Stone is owner of The Conflict Chick Inc., a speaking, coaching, and consulting company that provides training and development for organizations, corporations, teams and individuals that specializes in conflict management, communication, storytelling and diversity, equity and inclusion. Dawn’s 28 years of corporate experience coupled with her MBA in Marketing and MA in Conflict Management has afforded her the opportunity to touch thousands of lives across the US through education and leadership training she provides. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate degree in Leadership where she plans to enhance the organizations and the leaders she serves through curricula, research and development. She enjoys bringing strategies to reduce conflict to increase confidence and productivity.
