Vy Quach

How did you enter into the hospitality industry?

I started out in the sports industry since my internship with American Junior Golf Association in college and I've been involved with the sports industry since to help others find their love for any sports in any setting.

What brought you to Nashville? If you are a native, what is your favorite hidden gem of the city?

My job with Nashville SC brought me back to Tennessee. I'm from 2.5 hours outside of Nashville but it's great being close to home and with the newest sports team in town.

Where are we likely to find you on the weekends or when you aren't working?

Hanging out with friends, coworkers, watching sports, and working out.

Name 3 things you cannot live without

I can't live without my fitness membership, my dog, or coffee.

What is the best advice you have received?

The best advice I've received is to prioritize your life categories. Sometimes I over book myself or go too out of the way for others and compromise any down time I might have and it'll get exhausting to where I'm burnt out or disorganized. Since I've started to schedule days where I don't commit to things, it's helped my life balance out better mentally and physically. Heels and Handshakes offers a great calendar to where I can meet new people once every few weeks instead of over-commit myself to an organization with super frequent meetings.

What are you currently listening to? Podcast? Favorite song that motivates you?

I regularly listen to the Pardon My Take Podcast to hear opinions of sporting events and other events that are happening around the country. The interviews are usually really funny and they have some great guests from Nashville sometimes. A song that motivates me is Resilient by Katy Perry.

What are some career highlights and biggest career accomplishments?

Some of my big career highlights is being able to meet some legendary people. I worked at the Atlanta Hawks and met Vince Carter at an event we put on. My biggest career accomplishment is being able to introduce the community to Nashville SC games. Since we are a newer team, most people in town haven't been to one. As someone who isn't a soccer fan, the first game I attended and worked, the energy is something special. Most fans who attend their first time, come back for another because of how energetic the atmosphere is.

What would surprise us about yourself?

I didn't play soccer growing up. Most people ask me if that's what got me interested with working with Nashville Soccer Club.

Where can members connect with you? Vy is the Group Sales Account Executive for the Nashville Soccer Club.
