Join us as we learn a little more about member, Sarah Patton the Owner of Social Bliss Events.

Social Bliss Events is a Nashville-based event planning company specializing in luxury bachelorette parties, corporate gatherings, social shindigs, and high-end weddings.  Clients receive peace of mind as their ideas are brought to life and pain points addressed. We handle the details bringing industry expertise, precise execution, and a heart for intentionality - allowing you to be fully present.

How did you enter into the hospitality industry?

I've been planning events for as long as I can remember - organizing trips, hosting parties, and assisting friends and family. However, I have been in Nashville since 2004 and over the years, I saw an influx of visitors coming to our city. I wondered who was helping plan their stay and activities. I researched, started running the idea of planning weekend itineraries by friends, and officially jumped into the deep end when I launched Social Bliss Events in 2013.

What brought you to Nashville?

I moved to Nashville in 2004 to attend Vanderbilt University. I think 17 years makes me a local. ;) A few of my favorite Nashville gems are Love Circle, Greenhouse, and Radnor Lake.

Where are we likely to find you on the weekends or when you aren't working?

An ideal weekend would be waking up Saturday with no alarm, heading to Radnor Lake for a hike, getting ready and heading to brunch with friends and then off to the the pool or lake in the summer. I also love to read, try Nashville's newest restaurants (can anyone seriously keep up with them all? My list is extensive.), quality time with family and friends. I take self-care (love massages) very seriously and never miss an appointment. To end the date, I'd watch the sunset and spend the evening dining over delicious food with the people I love. And maybe stay up too.

What is the best advice you have received?

"Have a plan, but hold it loosely." As an event planner and someone who LOVES a timeline, life never goes exactly as planned. We all know "failing to plan is planning to fail" so while I wholeheartedly believe in preparation, you also have to leave room for the growth, challenges, opportunities, change, and evolution that will present itself.

What are you currently listening to? Podcast? Favorite song that motivates you?

Podcasts I love - The Daily Still for meditation. Love + Relationships with Debra Fileta, and Oprah's Super Soul. I'm currently wearing out Elevation's "Old Church Basement" album and just bought tickets (today!) to Bridgestone in October. Thank goodness concerts are back. My go-to jams are usually - Tedeschi Trucks Band, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, or Drake. I currently have Nelly, Florida Georgia Line - "Lil Bit" blasting.

What are some career highlights and biggest career accomplishments?

2015 - quitting my corporate job to run Social Bliss Events full-time, 2019 - hitting our 10th US city for destination planning, 2020 planning first international wedding (obviously, pre-pandemic), 2021 featured in People Magazine

What would surprise us about yourself?

I'm a first generation college student. I have been sky diving. I love to take naps (even though I don't get to very often). My favorite way to decompress is to sit in complete silence on the couch by myself. It's even better during Christmas with the lights on. I'm obsessed with the enneagram and make all of my dates take it before we go out on a first date. I'm an 8 obviously ;)
