H&H August Happy Hour goes backstage for Speed Networking Event

The need for speed.

You asked, we listened and it was a huge success. Our first speed networking event was hosted at Puckett's Backstage. I have to be honest, I was very hesistant about hosting a speed networking event as that is not our style. In Heels, we encourage our attendees to have intentional conversations and really get to know the person. I was afraid with this style of event we wouldn't be true to who we are. However; to my surprise everyone loved this event. I had a couple attendees tell me they were so grateful for this format because they were able to meet so many people that they wouldn't normally have had the chance to connect with in one night.

We actually had a member connect with another member who lives in the same part of town and made plans to hang out that weekend. I love hearing success stories. I sometimes make the joke that I am the Patti Stanger for women in business, but I love hearing when members foster genuine friendships from our meetings.

So... how did this work?? We split our attendees into two different groups, "A' and "B" and each group had 4 minutes to connect with their table. Instead of one-on-one as the traditional speed networking, we decided to have a "group setting" environment. This was great for conversation and flow.
