Emily Taylor is the Venue Manager for The Space at 100 Taylor Nashville’s most collaborative co-working space and trendy venue. Gather. Work. Collaborate. The Space is perfect for a photoshoot, a small gathering, to a full on wedding reception.
How did you enter into the hospitality industry?
I worked as an influencer during college, and after attending influencer events, I got the bug to work on the other side and plan the events! I interned at Cheekwood during college helping with their smaller events before moving to work for their weddings. Once I graduated, I joined the Velour Events team to manage & plan events for The Space at 100 Taylor!
What brought you to Nashville?
I came to Nashville for college. I attended Belmont University and graduated April 2021!
Where are we likely to find you on the weekends or when you aren’t working?
The three main things I do on my time off are cleaning, hanging out with friends, or watching Netflix! Keeping my space clean is so important to my mental health, so I like to make sure I keep my space in tip top shape! I also LOVE trying new bars and restaurants with my friends. Finding hidden gems is so much fun. My current favorite is LA Jackson- a rooftop bar at the Thompson Hotel!

Caffeine, My Phone, Sunscreen
What is the best advice you have received?
You can be a masterpiece and a work in progress at the same time. Changed the way I viewed myself.
What are you currently listening to? Podcast? Favorite song that motivates you?
I am the BIGGEST Taylor Swift fan, so anything by her is usually on in my apartment. I also love Phoebe Bridgers, Julia Michaels, Chelsea Cutler, & Gracie Abrams. I love my #femaleempowerment ladies!
What are some career highlights and biggest career accomplishments?
When I graduated college, I had no idea what my next steps in life were going to be. It was a pretty low point for me because I put so much pressure on myself to graduate with a job already lined up. So, being hired as the venue manager + event planner for The Space was one of the biggest moments not only in my career, but also in my life. It is my dream job with my dream co-workers, so I feel so lucky to have this job.
What would surprise us about yourself?
I am an introvert! I LOVE being around people, and it brings me so much joy, however, I still need my alone time to recharge. It surprises people because I am so outgoing, but being an introvert just means I need my alone time to recharge.
